Once you have an e-subscription set up to your own newspaper, you can search and view your papers’ scanned pages at no charge. You can also search any of the other participating newspapers’ database, but to view their scanned pages, you must first purchase the page(s) for $5.00 per transaction.
If there are neighboring newspapers that you refer to on a regular basis, we recommend that you contact those papers direct to set up (complimentary) e-subscriptions between your papers.
Follow these steps to purchase an article online:
- Log on to the “Nebraska News Link” site and search for articles, obituaries, businesses, people, etc. using keywords or dates. Search “all publications” or select a specific paper from the drop-down list.
- As you scroll down through the search results, you’ll see a red “BUY” link to the left of each newspaper name. When you click on “BUY,” the page is added to your “SHOPPING CART.”
- Click on “CONTINUE SHOPPING” to continue your search. Each time you click “BUY” next to the page you want to purchase, that page is added to your shopping cart.
- As you’re “shopping,” if you want to delete a selection from your shopping cart, put a check mark in the box to the left of the selection and click “REMOVE SELECTED.”
- When you’ve completed your searches and are ready to pay, click “PAY ONLINE.”
- This automatically links you to PayPal, to pay for your purchases using an existing PayPal account, set up a new PayPal account, or pay directly using your credit card. The total for your purchase(s) will appear in the top right-hand corner of your screen.
A PayPal account provides a secure way for you to make online purchases (using your checking account, PayPal account balance or credit card) without sharing your financial information with merchants. Follow the instructions to proceed with whichever payment option you want to use.
7. Once your payment is complete, the scanned page(s) containing the article(s) you purchased will be automatically downloaded to your email address, to view on your computer, print, or save to desktop/disc.
