2023 NPA Foundation High School & College Scholarship Applications Now Available – Deadline is March 17, 2023

Below are links to the 2023 Nebraska Press Association Foundation high & college scholarship guidelines/application forms. For 2023, the NPA Foundation will offer up to six (6) total (high school and collegiate) scholarships of $2,000 each.

Changes made to NPA Foundation scholarship application for 2023:

  • Eligible to apply are Nebraska high school graduates seeking to enroll (or already enrolled) at a Nebraska-based OR out-of-state college/university. (Prior to 2023, only NE high school graduates that planned to attend – or were already enrolled – at a Nebraska-based college/university were eligible to apply.)
  • Scholarships will be given to students with a specific interest in community-based journalism OR agricultural communications. (Prior to 2023, only journalism students were eligible to apply.)
  • Scholarship applicants can choose ONE (1) of four (4) different essay topics to write about (pg. 2 on application form). (Prior to 2023, applicants’ essay topic was: “Why should I receive this scholarship?”)

Application deadline is (postmarked by) March 17, 2023.
