The Allen & Linda Beermann Community Newspaper Sweepstakes Award is presented to the weekly newspaper that accumulates the most points during the judging of the Better Newspaper Contest entries.  The sweepstakes are awarded during the annual convention in April.

This honor was presented as the Loral Johnson Community Newspaper Sweepstakes Award from 2004-2023.
